LEARNING STRETCHES

One of my biggest learning stretches has been learning how to say no. I tend to put a lot on my plate and say yes to everything, but I’ve realized I need to prioritize my time to be intentional about my projects. Saying no has challenged me, but I’m still trying to fully submit to what God is calling me to focus on.

Another learning stretch has been sharing; one of the hardest parts of my project was around Extreme Grace 2. I had been researching testimonies, and they kept coming up everywhere. I believe testimonies can have a huge impact on someone's life and even help them discover where their identity is found. Throughout my project, I have learned how important it is to share what God has done or is doing in our lives, even if we don't think it's worth hearing, because it may be just what someone needs. At the beginning of my project, I wanted to challenge myself to be more open, comfortable, and confident when sharing, and around Extreme Grace 2, I felt like I wasn't staying true to that, and I felt very convicted. Throughout the year, I had been given so many opportunities to share, but I didn't take them. I kept telling myself someone else had something better to say. But as I spoke with friends and mentors, I decided to share during Extreme Grace 2, and I've been intentional about making it a priority.

This project has truly pushed me to slow down, trust in the Lord, and focus on authenticity rather than perfection. Overall, I believe I've learned to be more intentional with my time and to live more in the present moment while staying grounded in my purpose.
